4A Forming an Opportunity Belief

1. I do believe there is an unmet need/opportunity that exists at Southwest Recreation Center. While there are multiple possible opportunities at Southwest Rec. I want to specifically look at open space to stand in or do free weight exercises. When there are a lot of people in the gym, there is little to no room to actually stand and workout out in. Even when the gym is not packed, I still think the area is not large enough. 2. Going to the gym can be kind of intimidating and uncomfortable, especially if you’re someone who is new to going. This specific need can lead to people feeling more intimated by not having a lot of room to practice exercises they’re unfamiliar with, or even look some up without having to feel like someone’s looking over their shoulder. Even for people that are more comfortable in a gym setting, it’s a little frustrating trying to work out while you’re not only surrounded by people, but constantly having to move out of the way for people trying to walk by. 5A Identifying Local Opportunities

5A- Identifying Local Opportunity  1.       Title:  Sarasota County Seeks to Have Redistricting Lawsuit Dismissed Link:     https://www.heraldtribune.com/news/20200129/sarasota-county-seeks-to-have-redistricting-lawsuit-dismissed Description:  When Sarasota county decided to reshape the commission district boundaries in November, three African American residents filed a class action lawsuit claiming that the county and its commissioners did so to discriminate against black voters. The lawsuit accuses the county of violating the Voting Rights Act of 1965 because they shifted the boundaries of somewhere up for election in 2020, removing a significant number of black voters and a candidate. The county is arguing that there is no evidence that supports the redistricting was racial, and that it was only done to even out the population in districts. Still, the redistricting is looking a lot due in part to a combination of racial dis...

3A My Entrepreneurship Experience

Image
I've been surrounded by entrepreneurship my entire life. Both of my parents are entrepreneurs, especially my dad (definitely think he's considered a serial entrepreneur). My dad especially owns a variety of different things ranging from contraction companies to bars/restaurants/ and night clubs and even has a few patented items. He has been self-employed essentially my entire life, has had really successful businesses and ideas and some really not. I believe my parents being entrepreneurs is what led me to be (kind of) one. At a young age I was always doing things to make money, but I wanted to stand out. Where kids did lemonade stands, I made my own special juice, I call it that it was basically Gatorade, and went out to the trail where people in my neighborhood jogged and sold it to them. I sold t-shirts, bracelets, and when those silly bands things were popular & banned in my school I would sneak them in and sell them to people.  There was a game everyone played whe...

Bug List

1. When Apple products start glitching out, specifically when new products are coming out. It's been said that Apple does this around the time their new products release in order to convince more people to buy/upgrade 2. When its not even that cold outside but places put the heat on high in doors Because it's cold out they don't want people to be cold both inside and outside, so they turn the heat on to help warm up 3. My specific apartment complex does't have bathtubs in the bathrooms, only stand up showers It was probably cheaper and saved them a little bit of room since they did not make the stand up showers very large either  4. When you have to call places to cancel a subscription, instead of doing it online. For example, I had a subscription with Barrons to do some research for a project and had to call their customer support to cancel it, while the guy spent 15 minutes trying to convince me not to I'm sure doing this does allow them to ...
